Bourns 1202 Hardwired AC Hybrid Surge Protection Devices

Bourns 1202 Hardwired AC Hybrid Type-1 Surge Protection Devices are designed with hybrid protection utilizing Bourns metal oxide varistor (MOV) and gas discharge tube technologies (GDT). Bourns 1202 devices employ a full multi-mode protection scheme with hybrid designs utilized in the line-to-line, line-to-neutral, and neutral-to-ground configurations. The hybrid design has virtually no leakage and isolates the MOV from line voltage, helping to increase its life and reliability.

Bourns 1202 features a nominal current rating of 10kA and a short circuit current rating of 25kA. LED indicators provide a visual indication when the surge protector encounters any situation that requires internal safety fusing to activate. The series is IP66/NEMA 4x rated and can be used indoors or outdoors. As a Type-1 SPD, the Model 1202 components require no external line fusing or circuit breaker and can be placed on the line side of the main service disconnect. The Model 1202 devices are available in a 120V_rms version as well as a 120/240 Split Phase version and both are RoHS compliant.
